Two old friends discuss Masters running. Simon (Muggs) and Tim were both good athletes in their youth - Muggs in particular was European Junior 5km champion, and National Junior Cross Country champion. Now, 35 years on, our two hosts are trying to rekindle their love for running on the Masters circuit and still feel there is more in the tank. Tim is now based in Ottawa, Canada, Muggs is in Devon, England. The podcast discusses the challenge of trying to compete as a Masters athlete. Setting goals, taking care of oneself, and accepting that our best years may be behind us.

Muggs and Tim reconnect after a 35 year hiatus. 
Muggs (Simon Mugglestone) reflects on his outstanding junior running career where he became European Junior 5,000M champion and notably beat John Ngugi and Moses Tanui in a GB vs Kenya head to head. Until a devastating achilles injury left him in pain, and unable to run for 30 years.
Muggs and Tim re-connected on Strava and have admired each other's running on the senior scene. Both now 55 and trying to re-ignite those competitive juices.
Over the next few weeks and months, we will periodically connect with each other, check on our progress and share tips, and hard earned wisdom.
